The Flat

A floor plan, brought to life.

The Flat is a personal side project: an interactive 3D interpretation of my home, made to explore in a browser.

From plan to playground

It began with a floor plan. Reference drawings, room photographs and many small corrections gradually turned a simple layout into a furnished miniature. Getting the shape of the space right came first. Then came atmosphere: light, materials and the everyday details that make a room recognisable.

Inside the experiment

• Move around the model, focus on a room, or explore from above with cutaway walls.

• Change the mood from daylight to golden hour and after dark, or watch the day-and-night cycle.

• Discover plants, moving fans, animated screens and ripples on the balcony pool.

• Follow a simulated robot vacuum as it travels from room to room.

The Flat is a creative proof of concept, with schematic proportions and simulated movement. A small, animated interpretation of home, made to explore at your own pace.
